Workplace Translation Ltd was contracted by the Textiles Centre of Excellence to deliver Health & Safety, English language and mentoring support for 22 workers from the "new" EU member states who were employed by Small Medium Enterprises based within the Objective 2 Districts of West Yorkshire.

The programme, which ran between January 2006 and June 2006, was supported financially by the Learning & Skills Council and the European Social Fund. Workplace Translation was successful in the delivery of the project, over-achieving on the number of beneficiaries trained, without exceeding the agreed budget. Feedback received from the companies was positive. The Textile Centre of Excellence would be happy to work with Workplace Translation Ltd again should further funding become available for a similar project.
