Here at ercol furniture Ltd, we make beautiful domestic furniture from our purpose-built showroom factory nestled in the heart of the Chiltern Hills. We want to continue improving the training we provide to all our craftsmen and women and we use Workplace Translation to update and translate Health & Safety and training documents.

Having a variety of document formats and types to translate meant we wanted a service that was accurate, efficient and reliable. As we don’t know what the future brings, we also wanted to develop a relationship with the provider of the service. Workplace Translation has not only met, but exceeded all of my expectations. They have provided the best service by far of all translation firms that we have tried.

Case study: Premier Equine, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Helping the company become truly international

Background information

Premier Equine is an international brand supplying products to riders, horses and professionals involved in equestrian sport. The company’s core values are innovation, tradition and perfection and it specialises in products to protect and to prevent injuries.

In order to increase their reach into European markets, the team at Premier Equine decided to have the website translated into 5 languages. With thousands of quality products, there were large volumes of product descriptions that needed translating, along with the payment portal and general information on the website. Having experienced restrictions and limits with its previous partner, Clive and Rachel at Premier Equine contacted Workplace Translation for a quote for translating the website.

Workplace Translation made use of a specialist website translation tools to quickly assess the number of words and put a detailed quotation together. Once the go-ahead was given, the text was exported into state of the art software that ensures consistency and makes the translation workflow more efficient. A team of expert translators and proof readers worked on the files, which were then exported and uploaded to our website tool to generate a preview for Premier Equine. Due to the fact that the products and product descriptions are being constantly updated, Workplace Translation liaised with Premier Equine to find the best way for information about these products to be regularly made available in all the target languages.

Workplace Translation also arranged for the translated websites to be hosted in the countries in question, which aids organic optimisation without the need for expensive SEO work. The number of visitors to Premier Equine’s websites has increased from 4,000 per month when first published (visitors that were largely already happy Premier Equine customers) up to 40,000 per month after one year – thousands of new customers!
